In 1984, Elizabeth “Betty” Huffman saw something missing in her community — a place where parents could feel confident leaving their children each day, knowing they’d be safe, nurtured, and inspired to learn. With that vision in her heart and a deep love for children, she opened the doors to what would become White Marsh Child Care Center. What began as one small center off Silver Spring Road quickly became a trusted part of countless families’ lives.
Our curriculum is centered on the areas of learning and development that are essential for school readiness:
– Social and emotional development
– Language and literacy
– Physical well-being and motor development
– Approaches to learning
– Early cognition and STEM
Our classrooms are filled with curiosity, laughter, and discovery — all built on Betty’s original belief that every child deserves a safe, joyful place to learn and grow. Today, as an MSDE-accredited program, we remain committed to excellence in education and care, proud to nurture the next generation of confident, compassionate learners. White Marsh Child Care Center is located on a 10-acre campus with a pool, sports court, and splash pad on site.
